TASTING NOTES: Medium-bodied, dry. D'Agalis has a deep purple color and a distinct nose of spice, black fruit and a touch of barnyard. On the palate the wine is filled with red and black berry fruit, plums and a touch of chocolate. The fruit is well balanced with ripe tannins and ample acidity on the long earthy finish. Pair with roasted red meats and game, casseroles and mushroom dishes. Serve at cellar temperature.
PRODUCTION NOTES: Lionel handpicks and sorts before steeping the grapes. Fermentation lasts about 15 days and is initiated using only indigenous yeast. The wine is then moved to a vat for ten days before being moved to age 60% in tank and 40% in barrel for about twelve months. 40% Carignan, 40% Syrah, 20% Grenache and Cinsault
